Job Description 

CubeMatch seeks an Application Support Windows/Linux Server Administrator to manage and optimize our server environments. You'll troubleshoot and ensure peak performance of both Enterprise Applications and Windows Server Operating Systems. As part of our global support team, you'll handle change activities, incidents, problems, and patching tasks. Your goal: maintain effective application and server operations for users, business units, and customers while adhering to procedures.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Manage day-to-day administration, support, backups, maintenance, and monitoring of financial applications and server environments
  • Administer applications and servers to ensure reliability and availability within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Monitor application and server resource usage, including CPU, disk capacity, and I/O, and collaborate with the Monitoring team to ensure correct thresholds and monitoring procedures
  • Provide monthly capacity reports detailing usage trends and peaks
  • Collaborate with departmental teams to plan, schedule, and execute system improvement and enhancement projects
  • Offer first-line support for problem resolution and collaborate with vendors for fault analysis and escalation as necessary
  • Assist in application and server patching and remediation efforts
  • Adhere to the company's Conduct Code in all work-related matters and promptly report any violations or suspected violations to the appropriate company representative
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across departments

Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes
 
  • 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications and Windows/Linux server environments
  • Microsoft/Linux server certification such as MCSA or MCSE would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies including Distributed File Systems (DFS), File Server Resource Manager (FSRM), Remote Desktop Services, File and Storage Services (iSCSI management), and Server Backup
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Database (RDBMS, Oracle PL/SQL) and TOAD
  • Familiarity with .Net, JavaScript, and VB Scripts
  • Experience with virtualized environments, preferably VMWare and Citrix
  • Ability to implement and maintain systems in a high availability, 24/7 technical environment
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques for protecting systems and ensuring data security (information security)
  • Proven multitasking ability with strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to escalate issues when necessary
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written communication skills for internal and external documentation and presentations
  • Effective verbal communication skills, capable of communicating effectively at all levels
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents
  • Strong team player who collaborates and seeks assistance when needed to meet project deadlines
  • Highly productive and flexible in approaching tasks and interacting with individuals
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to keep projects on track and commit additional time if required
  • Demonstrates a positive, "can-do" attitude and is well-regarded by peers
  • Approachable and able to interact effectively with other teams and departments
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer and company information
  • Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call support as part of a team rotation
  • Participation in regular patching activities.
