2026 Earth Month Challenge Impact Update

This year marked the 6th edition of our Group Earth Month Challenge. For the past two years, our focus has been on reforestation, and this year’s theme, “Plant the Change”, was all about maximising our impact by planting even more trees.

As global temperatures continue to rise, the need for action has never been greater. More frequent heatwaves, more devastating wildfires, and the growing effects of climate change remind us why restoring our forests is so important. Trees help capture carbon, protect biodiversity, restore ecosystems, and keep our planet cooler. Every tree planted is a step towards a more sustainable future.

We’re incredibly proud of the impact we’ve created together through the funds raised for Forest Nation. Thanks to the collective efforts of our employees, we’ve made a tangible difference in Tanzania:

  • 4,437 trees planted in the Usambara biodiversity hotspot.
  • 4.44 hectares of heavily deforested land reforested.
  • 110.93 tons of CO2 absorbed yearly.
  • 443.7 tons of oxygen produced annually.
  • 177+ hours of meaningful work created, supporting local livelihoods, food security, and turning communities into guardians of Mother Earth.
  • 80% of the nursery teams are women, leading the way in climate action and restoring harmony with nature.

Beyond planting trees, it’s about empowering communities, restoring ecosystems, and building a future where people and planet thrive together. This is what Powering Change looks like, People and Planet, thriving together.
