Job Description

CubeMatch is looking for an experienced IT Security & Network Engineer/Architect to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of enterprise network security initiatives within a complex 24×7 operational environment. The role acts as a key technical interface between Cyber Security project teams and Network Operations, driving secure network transformation and architectural change.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Lead the delivery of network-related cyber security projects and strategic security initiatives.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise network architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for network and security solutions.
  • Design enterprise datacentre networks using Cisco ACI technologies including tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, and EPGs.
  • Configure and manage Cisco Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) capabilities including IPS, Security Intelligence, Portscan Detection, and Encrypted Visibility Engine (EVE).
  • Perform firewall lifecycle management including upgrades, policy optimisation, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Develop secure network segmentation strategies aligned to Zero Trust security principles.
  • Design, deploy, and optimise application delivery solutions using Citrix Netscaler technologies including load balancing, WAF, content switching, and traffic steering.
  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for critical infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure secure and resilient traffic flows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues escalated from support teams

Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes
 

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
  • Strong expertise in network security architecture design and implementation.
  • Extensive experience with TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, Cisco firewalls, and Cisco ACI networking.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco NGFW technologies and advanced security features.
  • Experience designing and managing secure enterprise datacentre environments.
  • Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience with threat management, vulnerability assessment, and network segmentation strategies.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with Citrix Netscaler / ADC technologies.
  • Proficiency with automation tools and scripting including Python, Ansible, and REST APIs.
