Job Description
CubeMatch is seeking for a strategic and commercially driven Head of Technology – Delivery & Solutions to lead our technology strategy, client solutioning capability, and complex programme delivery across financial services engagements. Reporting to the CTO, this role will define technology direction, shape innovative consultancy propositions, and ensure consistent, high-quality, and commercially competitive delivery. The successful candidate will combine strong technical leadership with stakeholder influence, commercial acumen, and the ability to build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and oversee the technology strategy aligned to business goals in partnership with the CTO
- Evaluate emerging technologies and drive digital transformation initiatives in line with client requirements
- Translate market trends and client needs into scalable, commercially viable solutions
- Lead the design and development of new financial consultancy propositions and service offerings
- Oversee complex programmes from planning through to execution, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
- Report to the CTO on programme progress, KPIs, ROI, and achievement of business benefits aligned to original business cases
- Engage and influence senior internal stakeholders, clients, and third-party partners
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams (technology, analysts, product owners, onshore and offshore teams)
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture and ensure a coherent global delivery model
- Support business development and sales initiatives through technical insight and solution shaping
- Identify revenue growth opportunities through new propositions and strengthened client relationships
- Ensure all technology solutions meet regulatory, governance, and cybersecurity standards
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and delivery risks
- Manage departmental budgets, optimise resource allocation, and ensure cost-competitive client proposals
- Leverage data, research, and analytics to inform propositions, client insights, and programme decisions
- Drive organisational adoption of new technologies, agile practices, and continuous optimisation
Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes
- Proven senior leadership experience within Technology Delivery and Solutions, ideally in Financial Services
- Strong expertise in technology strategy, architecture oversight, and digital transformation
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, complex programmes end-to-end
- Commercially astute with experience supporting sales, proposal development, and revenue growth
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive-level clients
- Experience leading cross-functional and distributed (onshore/offshore) teams
- Solid understanding of regulatory, governance, and cybersecurity requirements within financial services
- Strong budgeting, resource planning, and financial management capability
- Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics to inform strategic decisions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
- Experience promoting agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices
