Job Description
CubeMatch is looking for a skilled Financial Controller with 7-10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling within the banking or financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing the financial aspects of large-scale IT or system implementation projects, particularly core banking systems. This role requires strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting to support project planning and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial aspects of large-scale IT or system implementation projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support project planning and control.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including variance analysis, to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in financial status and projections.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts, monitoring actual expenditures against planned budgets, and identifying and addressing variances.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making, providing insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations and financial reporting standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, IT teams, and business units to provide financial insights and support, ensuring effective communication and alignment on financial matters.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and controls, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of financial management and reporting.
Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes
- 7-10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven experience in managing the financial aspects of large-scale IT or system implementation projects, particularly core banking systems.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support project planning and control.
- Strong skills in preparing and presenting financial reports, including variance analysis, to stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of banking operations, financial products, and services, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders, including project managers, IT teams, and business units.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards within the banking industry.
