Job Description
CubeMatch is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and help manage our data in a transparent and effective manner. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW), Data Lake (Azure), data marts, and Analysis & Reporting environments. You will address key topics such as providing insights into our positive impact and integrating new information into our data infrastructure. This position offers a range of challenges and opportunities to contribute to our success and make a significant impact on our data environment as part of our evolving team.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into SQL logic for ETL processing and reporting.
- Unlock new source systems and integrate the data into the model of our EDW (including data marts) and data lake platform.
- Configure and test data pipelines in our scheduling tool, Airflow.
- Stimulate and improve data awareness and data literacy across the organization.
- Provide insights into our positive impact through data analysis.
- Contribute to a stable and high-quality data environment.
- Ensure data is recorded and processed transparently.
- Collaborate with the team to meet the growing demand for BI and Data projects.
- Channel new information through our data infrastructure effectively.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of our data processes.
Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent work/thinking level).
- Several years of experience in a similar role, such as Data Engineer or BI Specialist.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with both traditional and new-generation BI and data tools.
- Preferably experienced in the financial and/or regulatory sector.
- Socially concerned and share our mission to create and realize positive impact.
- Affinity with Agile/Scrum methodology, Python, and Big Data initiatives.
- Proactive and communicative, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills and attention to detail.
