CubeMatch Ireland sporting challenge for Barnardos
10th June 2020

A few weeks ago, CubeMatch Ireland Staff came up with an idea to organise a team sporting challenge to help raise funds for charity.

Our 38 participants aimed to collectively cover 600KM during the June bank holiday weekend to remotely raise funds for Barnardos Ireland, a charity that helps transform the lives of vulnerable children and teenagers.

Each participant committed to complete a certain KM goal either in one day or over several days and had the option to walk, run and/or cycle (while always respecting social distancing and adhering to all government guidelines). In order to validate their KM each participant submitted proof such as a screenshot from tracking apps or pictures of their smart watch with the date and km covered.

The challenge was a complete success !

Our amazing participants exceeded their initial KM goal and collectively covered a total distance of 1,001.76 KM in only 4 days!

Due to all the effort and support our GoFundMe campaign raised €5,010 !

Thank you to all our donors and participants.

Community and solidarity are essential values now more than ever and we are delighted to be able to help Barnardos continue their mission.
